| My daughter Brittany has all of
her college applications out so a big decision has to be
made in our household soon. She is finishing her senior year
at Tampa Hillsborough with a
straight A average and recognition as a National
Merit Scholarship Finalist. She is also president of
her senior class.
Brittany has applied
to Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Lehigh and Duke,
all of whom announce decisions around April 1. She also
applied to North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and Florida
State and already has acceptances from those schools.
UNC offered her a prestigious Johnston
Scholarship (only 70 of 3500 incoming freshman are
selected for this scholarship) and Florida State
offered her a full scholarship. However, if she is
given the opportunity, she is interested in attending
one of the three Ivy League schools she applied
to. |
